Verse 1:
I don’t wanna wake up in the morning, cos I’m afraid daylight reminds me of you
And I don’t wanna have my breakfast cause I’m afraid eating reminds me of you
And I don’t wanna be in the garden cause I’m afraid the flowers remind me of you
And I don’t wanna sit at our table cause there’s one empty seat and that is the one for you
Bridge:
I’m not angry, no, that you left us
This is just a part of life, of you and me
And I wish I could change this life
I wish I could turn back time
but that is not what’s meant to be
Chorus:
And even though you’re gone you’re everywhere
And if I lost my sight I’d still see you here
You’re everywhere
You’re all around me
You’re my one and only
I just can’t let you go
Verse 2:
I remember when we were together no one could harm us cause love is a powerful thing And all the memories will stay with me forever, you make them precious and nothing can take them away
We had the best times and even our worst times were still so good that I don’t know what bad times mean
And since my childhood you were there protecting me, you knew all answers but who will protect me from now on?
Bridge:
I’m not angry, no, that you left us This is just a part of life, of you and me
And I wish I could change this life
I wish I could turn back time
but that is not what’s meant to be
Chorus:
And even though you’re gone, you’re everywhere
And if I lost my sight, I’d still see you here
You’re everywhere
You’re all around me
You’re my one and only
I just can’t let you go
Though it’s time to move on
And even though you’re gone, you’re everywhere
And if I lost my sight, I’d still see you here
You’re everywhere
You’re all around me
You’re my one and only
I just can’t let you go
I am sorry, this is not the greatest song, but I hope you hear me, I am singing this song for you
The lyrics suggest some kind of separation/loss but this needn't be a death. It could be that the girl has been dumped, thus to add poignancy to mise-en-scene she could see images of the person she is singing about with somebody else.

Sinead O'Connor singing "Nothing Compares To You" (full screen if possible. Note the consistent use of close ups of the artist, that she is represented as almost androgynis (buttoned up to the neck and short hair) yet iconic. This music video lives in the head, I've just re looked at it and it still sends shivers down the spine.
Hi miss, it wouldn't let me put it on Blogger, so the only way to play it, is to click on the link.
